A Day of Water, Music, Food + Community
📅 Sunday, September 13 | 11 AM–4 PM
📍61 Temple Avenue, Newburgh
🎟️ FREE + open to everyone
We’re gathering at Crystal Lake for a celebration of the waterways, cultures, creativity, and people that make our community special.
Quassaick Creekfest at Crystal Lake is a chance to experience this beautiful public space in so many different ways. Come make art, listen to live music, explore the gardens, cast a fishing line, share a meal, meet neighbors, and discover new ways to connect with the land and water around us.
Here’s a first look at some of what you’ll experience:
GEL PRINTMAKING
Hudson Valley artist Dharman Abdullah will lead a hands-on gel printmaking experience inspired by the patterns, textures, shapes, and organic forms found in nature. Experiment, create, and leave with your own piece of Creekfest art. Bring your own t-shirt to create art with!
NATURE-BASED ART + ECO-GAMES
Get creative outdoors with Zach from Our Elements, who will bring nature-based art and eco-games to the lake. These family-friendly activities invite children and adults alike to play, create, and experience the natural world in a new way.
COMMUNITY FISHING
Join The Brain & Body Coalition for community fishing along the lake. Whether you’re trying fishing for the first time or already love being out by the water, come cast a line, spend time together, and enjoy one of Newburgh’s beautiful natural spaces.
GARDEN WALK-THROUGHS
Take a walk through the healing gardens at Newburgh Sanctuary and discover what’s growing at Crystal Lake. Our gardens are spaces for flowers, pollinators, learning, gathering, and community stewardship and we can’t wait to welcome you in.
LIVE MUSIC WITH TALIE
We’re thrilled to welcome Talie to the Creekfest stage. Originally from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Talie brings together Haitian folk traditions, soul, guitar, and storytelling in music that honors the past while carrying hopeful visions for the future.
FREE COMMUNITY MEAL
Of course, it wouldn’t be a celebration without sharing a meal together! Gather at the community picnic hub for a free community meal prepared by Sabores de Mi Pueblo. Come hungry, pull up a seat, meet someone new, reconnect with an old friend, and enjoy good food together.
VOLUNTEER WITH US
Creekfest comes to life because of community! We’re looking for volunteers to help us welcome guests, support activities, assist community partners, keep the space beautiful, and make the day run smoothly. Whether you can give a few hours or spend the whole day with us, your time and energy will help create a joyful celebration for Newburgh. Join the Creekfest volunteer teamand help us make the day unforgettable!

Newburgh's Got Talent Recap
Art and culture were alive and thriving at our recent Newburgh's Got Talent on August 15th! We were blown away by the incredible turnout and the sheer talent that graced our stage.
Performers joined us from Saugerties, Middletown, New Windsor & right here in Newburgh, bringing an unforgettable wave of creativity, music, & performance. The stakes were high with our audience judging the acts based on performance, delivery & crowd participation. Huge shoutout to the incredible Symerrhi for taking home the $100 win, check her out featured in the video clip!
Most of all, the Newburgh Sanctuary is honored to cultivate a safe, vibrant platform where creators can shine, connect, and express themselves freely. Thank you for filling the Sanctuary with such creativity and inspiration. Check out the recap video to relive some of our favorite artists!
